Methodology

Case Law Hub aggregates publicly available court decisions and regulatory acts from official European sources, standardizes them with rich metadata, and indexes the full text for search and cross-border legal research.

Data Sources

  • Romania — portalquery.just.ro, the official Romanian court portal (queried via SOAP API).
  • Germany — jurion (Jurionline), the official federal case-law portal.
  • Netherlands — rechtspraak.nl, the official Dutch judiciary portal.
  • France — legifrance.fr, the official French legal database (Légifrance).
  • European Union — EUR-Lex, the official EU law repository, and curia.europa.eu for Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) rulings.

Verification

  • Each decision is assigned a European Case Law Identifier (ECLI) where the source provides one, and cross-checked against the official record on the sourcing portal.
  • Metadata — court, decision date, language, source database, and case number — is standardized from the official record when available.
  • Related legal provisions are extracted from the decision text and linked to the corresponding national or European provision pages.

Accuracy Limits

  • Court decisions are public records reproduced as-is from official sources. Errors introduced by the original data provider are outside our control and are reproduced in the full text.
  • We do not provide legal advice. Content on Case Law Hub is for research and reference only and should be verified against the official source before any legal reliance.
  • Coverage varies by jurisdiction and over time; an absence of a decision or provision does not necessarily mean it does not exist in the source.
